Colombus might not be drunk after all... that statue was moving!

An interview with Colombus, a local citizen who saw the events:

"Many odd things have been happening lately, and this is not the least of them. One day, seemingly out of nowhere, statues appeared all around Britain. This alone was strange, but perhaps the citizens had decided to erect statues to Britannia's finest. However, a few days later, one of the statues attacked me! I immediately cried out for help, but when Serin came, he found the statue in the same place it was before. As soon as Serin left, the statue began to move again. I called Serin back, but when he came near the statue, it immediately stopped moving again. Now, I had drunk a good deal of ale prior to this in celebration of the liberation of Vesper from the dread lord armies, so I thought perhaps I may be drunk. And indeed, many believe that it was just mine drunkness that caused me to see this. A few days later, all the statues suddenly began attacking the citizens of Britain. The previous banker, Candan, was slain in this encounter. The statues all resembled the first people who had walked by them, save one. This one statue proclaimed he was created by Dunstan [See forum post for details on the Dunstan quest], and that he would take over all of Britain with his army. After much fighting, we defeated the statues, and finally this leader of the statues, who killed many before he was finally slain."

Quest difficulty: 7/10
Quest rewards: A bunch of rares: a magical sash, a black set of ringmail armor, and a red shield, as well as a Halberd of Vanquishing

Notable facts:

  • The scene shown was purely accidental, the statue was accidentally unfrozen. We decided to roleplay it as Colombus being drunk, and it worked beautifully and was incredibly funny to watch.
  • The statues represented the Dark [once again, see forum post] that resides within everyone. That is why they resemlbed players.
